28 big ones under the belt.

Well we haven't posted anything on here for quite some time-- so I figured why not use the ol birthday as an excuse to get back into it?

Yesterday I celebrated my 28th. It was a brilliant day filled with lots of family and plenty of sunshine (despite the call for thunderstorms!). 

I was able to spend some alone time walking the shores of Lake Michigan. We have so many things in flux right now-- but I have so much to be grateful for.  I was blessed with two parents that I love infinitely, two brothers that make me so very proud, and a husband who I honestly believe is the best man I've ever met. Not to mention two canines who think they belong in the previous sentence. :) 

The day ended with crab legs at my favorite restaurant--Grand Mere with my immediate family plus my other two best friends--Anner and Billy. It simply couldn't have been better.

I'd say I've got it pretty good.

In other news--I'm stoked to report that I got a new lens!! I tested her out today in my Anner's garden. What do you think!?
